Tanya Lee Stone: Hello, my name is Tanya Lee Stone. Tanya is a shortened version of the Russian name, Tatiana. I spell my first name, T-A-N-Y-A. Although my family does originally hail from Russia, I am not named after a relative. My first name comes from one of the main characters in one of my father's favorite stories, Doctor Zhivago, a classic novel that was translated from the Russian, and later made into a movie. My last name, Stone, was shortened from something much longer and harder to pronounce when my grandfather first immigrated to America as a child in the early 1890s.
